I have been working at CenturyLink for many years now. I have seen the company change names before but not the changes that are making problems for our customers and everybody who works here. We have had contractors for many years but never in the amounts we have now. They do really bad work and they don’t care about the company. The company just gives them a paycheck through another company. Customer are angry when we go to their house because the contractors lie and say they fixed something that they did not or they just don’t show up and they close the ticket. And we are finding out that this is going on all over America. When we complain to managers that this is going on nothing ever changes. The company created a measurement system that they hold company technicians to but they don’t hold contractors to. The system makes it impossible to really work on or install the customers service properly because you are not given enough time to do it. So the customer is the one who is punished and then if the technicnan tries to help the customer and fix things like they should be then they are punished on their monthly numbers. Centurylink will say this is not true but techs can show you their monthly reviews and prove to you it is true. Its all about $$$Centurylink$$$ making their money and spending the least amount possible to do it. It is not about providing quality service. The only people in Centurylink who are doing well are the executives.
The more contractors we hire the more our service will go downhill. As techs we apologize to the customers and thank you for your years of loyalty. We are sorry that things have come down to this.
